Under our roof, as an expression of our love for God, we worship and celebrate our faith. We are filled with His love through our worship and the sharing of Holy Communion. We meet here to be filled, ready to share God’s love with our community.
Under our roof, we demonstrate God’s love for our community. We host Tea & Toast, Boys & Girls Brigade, Messy Church, Friendship Club, Singing for Fun, Pop In coffee mornings and events in our car park. Weekly, our building also provides a home for many outside organisations to meet including U3A, keep fit classes, Slimming World and the First Light Trust for Veterans. We also hold concerts and large events including Scarborough Symphony Orchestra Concerts.
Under our roof we build a community of disciples. We
journey together, share in fellowship and support one
another on the adventure that life with Jesus brings.
Under our roof, no matter what our background, all are
welcome and all are valued.
Our building is 96 years old and our roof has protected us from
the elements very well, but it is now showing signs of
deterioration. It is suffering from nail rot and as a church we
have decided that now is the right time for it to be replaced.
The project is to raise the funds to replace the roof and whilst
the scaffold is up a high-level louvre can be repaired, windows
can be painted, a flat roof can be replaced and pointing can be
completed.
The cost of this project is £75,000 and we are now starting to
raise the funds to achieve this. The Church has already
committed to half of this cost. If you feel you can help in any way by supporting future fund-raising events or by direct donation then please contact us through the website.
We ask that you pray for this project and thank you for any support you can give.
It’s more than a roof.
